The workshop extensively examined the above topics underscoring the importance of each as guided by best practices as well as the ZEWU Constitution, Vision, Mission, Values, 8th National Congress Resolutions and the 2016 – 2021 Strategic Plan adopted at Kadoma in April 2016.
Other key issues emphasized the importance of building a strong, homogeneous and cohesive team ZEWU which is capable of complimenting each other’s strengths as well as attending to any identified areas of weaknesses and deficiencies within the team.
The workshop also streamlined, in clear terms, the distinct but symbiotic and complimentary roles between the presidium and staff and how these should always be respected for the smooth functioning of the union.
At the end of the workshop, the team came up with an implementation matrix which shall form the basis of the action plan going forward.
