A Zewu delegation leadership on recently visited one of the union’s members, Miriam Magaisa who has been admitted at St Annes Hospital in Harare.
The Zewu delegation included national executive members Dennis Mukote and Present Chile, Acting General Secretary Mbonisi Sibanda and Administrator Stembi Dube.
“We decided that it is our duty as the union to visit one of our own and cheer up her spirits. We wished her a speedy recovery and she was grateful that we showed that we care for her,” said Sibanda.
Mrs. Magaisa who is a Zewu activist at the ZESA National Control Centre said she was grateful for the gesture shown by Zewu.
“I was so grateful by the Zewu visit….it shows that the union cares for the plight of their ill members. However l would like to urge ZESA management and immediate bosses to show their sympathy and support towards ill co-workers as doing so will boost their zeal to get better.
“I would also like to pay my gratitude to my workmates who took off their time to visit….I say may the Lord be with them always,” she said.
